A little about HEXA Food Sdn. Bhd, they are a food manufacturing company in Malaysia, that produces more than a hundred different types of spices, herbs, seasonings, ready-to-cook premixes sauce, and marinades all in their factory. The products are all HALAL, HACCP, and ISO 22000 certified.
It's been years since I've been using Hexa Food's products and one of the reasons I'm sharing this here is that their products are not only very affordable and bring convenience to my Lifestyle. There can be hundreds of different spices, dried herbs, and spice/herb blends available in the supermarket. Some of which are used by professional chefs and many home cooks. So, how do you decide what you need in your home? Especially if you're shifting into your new Home not knowing what you should get for your Kitchen.
Everyone has different tastes and preferences, I have put together a list of 10 Spices most homeowners will certainly want to consider keeping around for convenience usage and delicacy enjoyment for home-cooking.
1. Black Pepper
Pepper is an aromatic spice that’s familiar to everyone. A simple tasteful meal will do great with black pepper alone especially if you are dishing out something Western.
2. Garlic Powder
Garlic powder is a spice that is derived from dehydrated garlic and used in cooking for flavour enhancement. This goes well with almost everything, especially for garlic lovers.
3. Onion Powder
Similar to Garlic powder, onion powder is made from the dehydrated onion. This powder is great as a seasoning commonly seasoned together with salt and other spice mixes.
4. Rose Mary
Rosemary is a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, which are thought to help boost the immune system and improve blood circulation. Other than healthy reasons, this woodsy aromatic herb adds flavour to a variety of dishes whenever you need it.
5. Thyme
Thyme is an herb. Flowers, leaves, and oil are commonly used as medicine in other countries. Thyme is sometimes used in combination with other herbs and can be bought as a mixed herb bundle.
If you didn't know Chilli powder is also rich in iron and copper. These minerals are crucial in the formation of red blood cells. When our body is low in iron, we could develop anemia and we are more prone to muscular weakness and fatigue. It does not only enhance the taste of the food but adds to the health-aid function.
