Chen's Mapo Tofu: 2 Michelin Star Sichuan Dishes

I've recently visited Chen's Mapo Tofu Nex Outlet to try their 2 Star Michelin Szechwan/Sichuan's delight dishes. Talking about Sichuan's food, it is slightly stronger in taste as well as savoury. There are a few spicy dishes such as the Spicy Szechwan Dumplings, Hot & Sour Soup, and the Signature Mapo Dan Dan Mien.

We get to choose the spicy level, so I've chosen levels 1 and 2 to try. However, I've K.O. for both and my husband is able to take level 1... but level 2 is considered too spicy for us. Well, definitely something droolicious for Spicy lover here. The Signature combo that I've ordered, which comes with the mincemeat Dan Dan Mien, the meat is soft and tender… it is marinated and tastes really awesome, pairing with slightly spicy noodle and pairing with their broth soup that is cooked in-house with multiple portions of meat, veg and seafood ingredients mixes. The broth soup is also topped with sesame seed and leek bringing extra fragrance.

I've a few favourite of the day here, is:

(1) Hot & Spicy soup as the taste is not too spicy and bring balance in a savoury soup. 

(2) Century Egg Dofu is a cold dish that is very nice with a soft and bouncy chewing sensation. It is also mild spicy with a sauce that taste is slightly sweet.

(3) Honestly, I really enjoy the Broth soup and I love the friendly staff and service here. 

Of course, the nice aesthetic and modern restaurant interior makes the mood feel better too.
