Pop-up Cafe: Sumikkogurashi X Kumoya at Orchard Central Singapore

If you're the type of Foodie who always wants to get a nice and good shot of what's-on-the-table over your meals, in addition, love cute Food just like Sumikkogurashi. You may want to visit this Pop-up Cafe at Orchard Central.

If you're unsure what Sumikkogurashi is, Sumikko Gurashi (すみっコぐらし Sumikko Gurashi) is a set of fictional cartoon characters produced by the Japanese company San-X. The name roughly translates would be “Life in the corner”. The main Sumikko characters are such as Shirokuma, a polar bear who dislikes the cold, Penguin? who is unsure of being a penguin, Tonkatsu, a piece of leftover pork cutlet, Neko, a timid and anxious cat, and Tokage, a dinosaur who pretends to be a lizard. Minor Minniko characters include Furoshiki, a polka dot furoshiki cloth, Zassou, a weed with a positive attitude, and Tapioca, multi-colored leftover tapioca pearls. Sounds like a whole lot of cuteness already?

The characters were created by Yuri Yokomizo, a graphic designer working for San-X, and the first products were released in 2012.

For every table in the cafe, there will be one Sumikkogurashi's character to keep you accompany and join you for your food and OOTD shots.

This specially transformed space is a themed cafe that has started since 12th March 2021 and will be here for a limited time only.

Here I've ordered my favourite Sumikkogurashi character; Gone Fishing Tokage Salmon croquette cream rice. While it fishing in the cream river, got its carrot fish, I've taken this shot for my memories with cuteness overload.
