When The Straits Refreshment Co told me that they will be sending over some Straits Crystal Mooncake that is made out of Jelly, it got me so excited. Well, this is not my first time hearing about Jelly mooncake but it's my first time trying it.
These Instagram-worthy and unconventional Mooncakes is very refreshing in taste and it can be a 2-in-1 dessert and snack altogether.
Just by looking at how beautiful these pieces of Mooncakes are, makes me tempted to eat yet contradicting can't bear to eat it. My favourite shape of the Jelly mooncake is the Dragon, partly also because my Zodiac relates to it. Additionally, I love the details of it. The packaging is also meticulously thoughtful, each and every flavour comes with poet quotes on the box.

This Jade Dragon may look as if it's a one flavour jelly mooncake. Its green is filled with Fresh Coconut Panna Cotta with a pinch of aromatic Pandan, with a round filling on the inside with a delightful burst of fragrant Gula Melaka.

The beautiful blue pea layer of the Jelly mooncake consists of a refreshing coconut taste, and it blended so well with the middle filled fragrant lemongrass with a surprise burst of fresh Lime inside of the lemongrass fillings. It's two layers of surprise blend! This is perfect for Peranakan dishes lovers.

As described: A beautiful harmony of floral and fruity with Sakura Aiyu jelly poured over Roselle filling holding a wonderful core made of fresh raspberries, blueberries and strawberries.
My favourite of the day is Rose Quartz. Well, simply because the tastes are so harmonious, it's a tasteful blend of floral and fruits. The external layer brings sweetness to the tongue while the internal fillings balance the tastes so wonderfully.

As described: Mildly sweet with a hint of buttery warmth, this is a brewed Chrysanthemum and Goji Berry jelly, encompassing a superior grade of Osmanthus flowers, and a burst of honey in the middle.
Good for both Chrysanthemum & Osmanthus floral tea lovers. The taste is Mildly sweet with a balance of the floral taste (not too strong). I find it cute, in the middle of the yellow transparent jelly mooncake, I can see through the round burst of honey in the middle.
