Lemongrass Ginger Tea


Ginger and lemongrass are two of the best food ingredients for digestion aid. It is commonly used as herbs in certain countries. You can simply follow these recipe steps to brew tea for you and your love ones. Ginger and lemongrass may also have the potential to lower your risk of chronic diseases, including cancer, soothe stomache and have anti-inflammatory properties.

Consult your doctor before drinking ginger and lemongrass tea if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medications or taking other herbs.

The traditional way to cook by Stove:

What to prepare?
1. 5 Stalks fresh lemongrass, cut into 5cm length and smashed
2. 10 Pandan Leaves, tied into knots
3. 3 piece of Ginger (thumb size)
4. 120g rock sugar
5. 1800g water
6. A Pot + Spatula

Directions:
1. Bring Pot of water to boil.
2. Add rock sugar, lemongrass, pandan leaves, ginger and water into the pot and stir well for 5mins.
3. Boil, simmer and cover for atleast 20mins
(for stronger flavour, you can boil for 30mins instead of 20mins).
4. Once it's ready, You may serve hot or add ice to chill.

The future way to cook by Thermomix:

What to prepare?
1. 5 Stalks fresh lemongrass, cut into 5cm length and smashed
2. 10 Pandan Leaves, tied into knots
3. 3 piece of Ginger (thumb size)
4. 120g rock sugar
5. 1800g water
6. Thermomix + Mixing Bowl + Simmering Basket

Directions:
1. Place rock sugar and set to Turbo 2 sec.
2. Add lemongrass, pandan leaves, ginger and water into mixing bowl, cook 45min, Temperature at 100 degree, and Speed to 2. Cover with Lid, and top with Simmering Basket.
3. Once it's ready, You may serve hot or add ice to chill.

A Great way to save is to cook at home!
