Internet-Famous Cafe in Bangkok Thailand: Lhong Tou Café

Many thanks to Zolene, a long-time Instagram follower who enthusiastically recommends places to visit in Bangkok upon knowing I'm going there.

On some Facebook pages featuring aesthetically pleasing architectural interiors, I saw images of Lhong Tou Cafe a few years back and that I never thought I would visit someday.

I'm happy to visit. As you may already know I'm a huge fan of good-looking, aesthetically pleasing cafes and restaurants. This is one for the Chinese-Thai food lover. I didn't expect them to serve the dish on the wooden Gigantic Dim Sum trays shown on the Food Menu. I love the authenticity of the food styling as well, it is nothing less than what is on the food menu.

Due to my Solo presence, I could only order a portion that I could finish, so I chose the Chilli & Garlic Crispy Pork Belly with Rice and Soya Yolk. There are only 50 portions served per day, which means this signature dish is a limited edition, right?

Despite the fact that the pork belly is best mixed with egg yolk and chilli sauce in the culture here, I prefer to separate it because it is so spicy. I only added a little chilli to my yolk and dish in order to finish my meal without making it too spicy. If you don't like spicy food, you can do that too. After all, it still tastes good.

In addition, I really enjoy the innovative combination of Butterfly Pea Latte.

The cafe Interior consists of Sturdy wooden panels and metal pipes that are ingeniously arranged to create a distinctive double-decker seating and table structure. Customers have the option to sit on the upper level or within the enclosed area below. There are safe stairways provided for those who wish to eat high up at the Cafe, although I recommend that individuals who may have difficulty with movement or are on the heavier side consider the inner lower enclaves for a more comfortable experience. The seats and table on the upper level may experience slight vibrations when people go up and down.

This breakfast is rather hearty for my appetite. To sample a wider array of food options and flavours, consider bringing a friend along to help you savour it all!

Crowds begin to arrive after 9.30am on a Weekday, so if you want a high seat, get there early.
