As luck would have it, we stumbled upon a restaurant with an authentic Japanese vibe in the heart of the city. We were famished and decided to step in, hoping to immerse ourselves in the local Friday night hang-out scene. The place was buzzing with people, and every table was occupied - a true testament to its popularity.
The name of this restaurant is 磯夬水産 (Isomaru Suisan), and it specialized in serving an impressive array of fresh/live grilled seafood. There was this one dish that stood out among the rest and it's the Famous Kani Miso. When I say that the taste of this delicacy, it still lingers in my memory now. Its flavours were nothing short of extraordinary, and I find myself yearning for another chance to savour it in the future, should I ever have the opportunity to travel to Japan again.
The taste and experience were truly unforgettable, and I can't help but reminisce about that amazing dinner at 磯夬水産 Isomaru Suisan.
When I was in Japan, I was filled with anticipation to finally taste Authentic Miso soup in Japan, only to discover an interesting twist. As it turns out, most Japanese restaurants don't actually have Miso soup on their menu. Instead, it goes by the name "Seaweed soup" here, and each restaurant has its own unique style for this comforting soup, adding their own personal touch and style to it. It was fascinating to see the variations and flavours that emerged from different culinary traditions in Japan.
At times, I've found myself drawn to the most unusual food dish on the menu, opting for dishes I've never tried before. One such occasion was when I decided to order the Turban Shell. Little did I know, I had no clue how to cook and find the meat part in the Shell, so I actually find myself turning to the friendly folks at the neighboring table for guidance. Oh, actually the locals didn't know too, we ended up searching on Youtube and watching it together. Here it is, its meat after we dugged out the spiral protection of the shell:
